So you want to become a Volunteer Coach!?

AWESOME! We are always looking for helping hands (or sticks) when it comes to instructing our young Panthers during practice. Volunteer coaches participate in practices, encouraging the players, demonstrating or instructing drills, ensuring safety is maintained at all times as well as nipping bad habits quickly. Volunteer coaches are to be a role model for out players on and off the ice.

Now, parents are a great example of those wanting to help coach their player. But we do ask coaches are more than a parent while volunteer coaching a team. Coach are required to instruct all players and ensure they are giving equal attention to each skater.

Volunteer coaches need to complete the following:

  • Register with USA Hockey
  • Background check
  • Complete appropriate SafeSport training/modules for the age group intended on coach or higher.

Reach out to our Coaching Coordinator Matt Spooner for more information!
