Learn to Play

Learn to Play Hockey

The Hockey curriculum is designed to teach the fundamentals of hockey skating. In four badge levels, skaters will learn how to be more proficient and agile on the ice. Proper skating techniques for the game of hockey are the primary focus of the levels. All elements will be taught without a puck. Skaters will learn the basic hockey stance, stride, knee bend, use of edges and other necessary fundamentals to be successful in hockey practices and game situations.

Equipment Sale

With the support of Leveling the Playing Field, a non profit with the mission to ensure children have a chance to play sports without the burden of equipment fees, and the unfortunate closing of locally owned Replay Sports in Old Town, the PCIA and PYHA are selling used equipment to those registered with our program for a significantly reduced price. Visit us October 3rd at the PCIA (time to be determined) to get fitted for all equipment with exception to the following: mouth guard jock/jill under garments (cold gear) Contact Matt at the PCIA for more details

The Registration "Learn to Play" is not currently available.

Local Equipment Purchase - Gunns Sport Shop

Gunny and his team at Gunn's Sport Shop in Brewer will suit your child up with a set of hockey gear to fits your child and prepares them to be successful on the ice!
